Andaz Delhi has a new chef – Akshay Bhardwaj. With over a decade of culinary experience, Bhardwaj has worked with some of the industry’s most iconic names. In July 2008 he started his hotel career at the 5-star luxury hotel ISTA. Over the next few years, he completed internships at Hotel Le Chatelain in Brussels, Wildflower Hall in Shimla, Hotel Vatel in Nimes, France, and at Le Bateau Ivre (2-star Michelin star restaurant) with renowned chef Jean-Pierre Jakob. As Demi Chef de Partie, she joined Oceania Cruises, an upscale cruise line, in 2011.
In 2012 he moved to India to work as a chef at Pullman Hotels and in April 2013 he moved to Canada to work in the same role at Sawridge Hotels Alberta. He worked in Canada and Denmark for the next three years before returning to India in August 2016 as a cook for the pre-opening of Samba Whiskey in Gurgaon. He is the Head Chef at Eastman Color Restaurants Pvt. promoted. Ltd. two years later (La Roca, Aerocity and Unplugged Courtyard at Connaught Place and Gurgaon). Most recently he worked as head chef at ITC Maurya in Delhi.
