Wyndham announced on Tuesday that it is further strengthening its presence in the country by opening a newly built 300-room hotel, the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Mumbai Sahar, at Mumbai Airport.
The new hotel, which is expected to open in the summer of 2022, will be managed by hotel management company MASA Hotels, said a statement from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Wyndham, with nearly 50 hotels across India and three in Mumbai, has another 34 hotels under development projects in the Indian subcontinent.
Wyndham Hotel and Regional Resorts Director (Eurasia) Nihil Sharma said: “We are proud to partner with MASA Hotels at this important opening representing our largest number of rooms in India and look forward to the potential for future collaborations.
Sharma added that the Ramada Plaza at Wyndham Mumbai Sahar would be a welcome addition to the company’s portfolio in India. “We are excited to expand our offering to such a significant destination while continuing our growth in India and the subcontinent.”
Masa Hotels, part of the Masa Group, which specializes in retail, electronics, hotels and shopping malls, is headquartered in Mumbai and has operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Wyndham Hotel and Resorts has approximately 9,000 hotels in nearly 95 countries with a leading presence in the business and mid-range segments of the hospitality industry.
The company manages a portfolio of 21 hotel brands including Super 8, Days Inn, Ramada, Microtel, La Quinta, Baymont, Wingate, AmericInn, Hawthorn Suites, Trademark Collection and Wyndham.
